Privacy notice

What this website collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated 4 September 2026 · Draft for legal review before launch

This site collects as little as it can get away with. There is no advertising network on it, no cross-site tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

What is collected

  • Enquiries. When you use the contact form: your name, email, organisation if you give one, your message, and the time it was sent. Used only to reply to you and to route the message to the right person.
  • Newsletter. If a newsletter is running, your email address and the date you confirmed your subscription. Confirmed opt-in only. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works.
  • Analytics. Aggregate page-level statistics, without cross-site identifiers or fingerprinting. Enough to know which articles are read; not enough to know who read them.
  • Server logs. Standard web server logs, retained briefly for security and troubleshooting.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiries: 24 months from your last message, then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, plus a short record that you did.
  • Analytics: aggregate only, retained no longer than needed to see a trend.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact form and say which. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

Processors

Hosting, email delivery and analytics are provided by third parties acting on instructions. A current list is available on request through the contact form.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their data. Photographs of minors are published only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Before launch: this notice must be reviewed by qualified Indian counsel against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any rules in force, and the processor list, grievance officer details and cross-border transfer position completed.

These policies are drafts prepared for review by qualified Indian counsel. They describe how this site is intended to operate, and should be confirmed — and where necessary amended — before launch.
